Pictures of my finished bucket hat (finally). I LOVE it! I'd been eyeing this yarn (Peaches and Cream in Daisy Ombre) for awhile. Maybe it was throwback to eighth grade, when yellow was my favorite color, or maybe it's the sheer sunshiny-ness of this yarn. Either way, I'm pleased and intend to make a couple more for myself, plus some for friends (a couple of the residents at the old folk's home I work at were so taken with them I promised to make one for each of them)!

This is the ruffle of stiff yarn that was the brim. I think I will continue to knit the brim flat, but work on my seaming skills!

I love the way the colors pooled on the top! These pictures were taken with my Palm, so they're a wee bit blurry.

Blocking bucket. I used an inverted bowl. I was mostly concerned about the brim, as when it was unblocked, it was rather wavy.

A happy picture with my happy bucket!

That there Internet is a wacky place!
We were at Six Flags Magic Mountain (California) with a bunch of friends, and one of them said "stick your finger in your ear!" and I did.
Yup the internet is wacky. I found out that an LJ-only friend lives a couple miles from one of my IRL friends in Minnesota.
